Our People

Company founder and president Donald Powell, a graduate of Rutgers University, class of 1973, has been involved in the construction industry since 1973, working with such companies as Shelter Systems, US Homes, Component Technologies, and Ackerman & Pratt before founding Powell Building Corporation in 1986. Mr. Powell is a certified contractor and homebuilder in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Powell Building Corporation features a fully staffed office, our own in-house architectural service, and a staff of experienced craftsmen and carpenters with a combined experience of over seventy-five years in the construction and remodeling industries. Powell Building Corporation hires only the Delaware Valley’s finest subcontractors, constantly evaluating potential subcontractors for both work quality and customer service.

Powell Building Corporation and the Community

Powell Building Corporation has been known for its community involvement in South Jersey, particularly in Moorestown, where Powell Building Corporation has sponsored a number of teams for the Moorestown Youth Baseball Federation, and where Donald Powell has volunteered his time as an assistant baseball and soccer coach. Powell Building Corporation has also donated its services to the Moorestown Recreation Department for the improvement of youth recreational facilities. Mr. Powell is a also leader in the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Medford, where he has helped organize and run a number of charity events. Powell Building Corporation participates in the Rancocas Woods Neighborhood Watch program. Most recently, through the New Jersey Remodelers Association’s Operation Good Samaritan, Powell Building Corporation has been commended for its donation of services and supplies to less fortunate members of the New Jersey community.
